The question isn't just what AI can generate.
It's how we build systems that can safely act on what AI generates.
That's the engineering problem we've spent years working on at CustomerNode.
The first technical details of our solution have now been officially published by the USPTO.
Our foundational patent application,
Agentic AI System for Dynamic Customer Journey Orchestration
, claims priority to April 2025. It describes how people, process, and AI can operate together across a continuous customer journey, from first contact through long-term success.
As we built and operated the system, the architecture evolved into seven additional layers of invention. We subsequently filed 18 more patent applications covering those layers.
The other 18 build the layers on top of it:
Safety (3):
turning a model's suggestion into a real, versioned change to a live deal
Coordination (5):
running many agents in one journey without colliding on the same work
Governance (1):
deciding what an agent may do before it touches the data
Prediction (2):
reading where a deal is headed from how people behave
Improvement (1):
a process that sharpens from its own results
Development (5):
generating a multi-year journey and keeping it current
Containment (1):
holding each customer's data inside a boundary the architecture enforces
Together, these applications describe two closely related systems: the platform we license to enterprise customers, and the multi-agent platform we use to build CustomerNode itself.
The remaining applications are expected to publish in accordance with the USPTO's publication schedule, beginning in 2027.
Today, we're proud to share the first publication in that series:
